Psalm 83 Prophecy

Psalm 83:

Keep not silent, O God;do not be speechless and do not be still, O God. For lo ! Your enemies roar; and those who hate You have lifted up their head. They take shrewd counsel against Your people, and plot against Your hidden ones. They have said, Come let us cut them off from being a nation, so that the name of Israel be remembered no more. For with one heart they have plotted together; they have made a covenant against You - the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, Moab and the Hagarites; Gebal and Ammon and Amalek; the Philistines with the people of Tyre; and Assyria has joined with them; they have helped the sons of Lot. Selah.

Do unto them as to Sisera, and as to Kabin at the torrent Kishon; who perished at Endor; they became dung for the earth. Make their nobles like Oreb and like Zeeb; yes, all their nobles like Zebah and Zalmunna; who said. Let us take for ourselves the houses of God. O my God, make them like a wheel; like the stubble before the wind. As the fire burns the forest, and as the flames set the mountains on fire, so pursue them with Your tempest and make them afraid with Your storm. Fill their faces with shame that they may seek your name, O Jehovah. Let them be troubled and ashamed forever; yes, let them be put to shame and lost; so that people may know that Your Name is Jehovah, that You alone are the Most High over all the earth.

These are the nations surrounding the tiny nation of Israel and like Ahmadinejad they all want to wipe Israel off the map. Why this devilish desire to destroy the Jews? After all, they and the Jews share the same progenitor, Abraham.

The answer cannot be mere politics; it is assuredly not economics (obviously, these oil-rich Arabs); it is not humanitarian or anti-humanitarian: it is devilishly spiritual. Numerous attempts in all history have been made to demolish the Jews once for all - Haman nearly succeeded in the story of Esther; the monster Hitler tried using the Holocaust; others like Henry Ford have stoked the fires of hatred and so have Jimmy Carter (with no understanding of Scripture) and Anglicans like Stephen Sizer (the bigoted priest). These all will get their deserts from the God of Israel. So will Jew-haters like the Iranians under the Shiite Khameini and his mouthpiece Ahmadinejad. They all will be blown away like stubble of their deserts.
