The word "challenge" has become a modern connotation of some obstacle to overcome. It is a word which "sugars the pill", an euphemism covering the unpleasant reality with something less threatening. It has become Postmodern. When one is physically handicapped, one is "physically challenged". Someone who is mentally handicapped is "mentally challenged". If your family is dysfunctional, your family is also "challenged".

Most people don't realise that life's most challenging challenge is the spiritual challenge of the Gospel of Christ. Be spiritually challenged because you are going to spend an eternity in heaven or hell.
