The Show Piece to the Whole World

Why has the Lord revived the nation of Israel after nearly 2000 years of homeless exile among the nations of the world?

The Lord God is using Israel to show-case His sovereign control of world affairs and His trustworthiness in keeping His covenant with Abraham, which was an unconditional agreement, meaning that Israel on its part has no condition to fulfil. God is the sovereign Ruler of the universe and the book of Daniel (among other books of the Bible) show that the Lord does whatever He likes and there is none to stay His hand. There is none like the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. The heavens declare His glory and the firmament shows forth His handiwork. Earth's history also demonstrates His masterly control over human affairs and the rise and fall of earthly empires.

The Church is too defuse and has no centre on earth (discounting the claim of the Vatican); there are too many denominations for the visible Church on earth to have a centre of administration. I am leaving out the Roman Catholics for reasons left unsaid now. The Church does not have a united front, nor can it speak with one voice. The Church is not an earthly organisation; it is a heavenly entity.

But Israel is different. She is God's earthly show piece. Napoleon and others have said, "If you want to see the hand of God at work in the world, watch Israel." In fact the present existence of Israel is the most unique proof of the truthfulness of the Scriptures; it is the miracle pointing to the existence of the Supreme God.

The re-emergence of Israel as a nation in 1948 against all odds (even the anti-Jewish Russia voted in favour) is a quintessential proof of the finger of God at work. More so, the perpetuity and preservation of Israel through all the wars by the Arabs surrounding and outnumbering it by countless times. Israel's resilience and prosperity (with her numerous Nobel Prize winners in every field of human endeavour) speaks volumes of God's over-shadowing presence.

Nay-sayers like the Anglican Stephen Sizer, the dead-and-gone Henry Ford, and the naive ex-president Jimmy Carter - these all will have much to atone for.

Watch Israel. It is God's masterpiece.

State of the Pre-Rapture World

About one-fifth to one one-quarter of the world's population live in Red China, which is avowedly atheistic, despite the tremendous surge of underground Christians in this nation. The Communists are only interested in the things of this life, and are not bothered about spiritual affairs; they are still persecuting Christians and do not practise universal human rights.

Israel while being surrounded by Arab nations most of whom would like to sink her in the depths of the Mediterranean Sea, a desire stoked by the nuclear-ambitious Iran. But Israel herself is in a state of "unbelief", being in the main a secular state with Israelis in the main flaunting lifestyles that are liberal and not God-honouring.

The Western world is largely secular, postmodern, liberal, free-wheeling, with only USA slightly better than the gone-case agnostic Western Europe (European Union). Islam is right to be angry with the immoral liberal lifestyles of the West (however their own Islamic leaders are in the main no better in their hidden sex lives, apart apparently from the Ayatollahs (?).

Islam is the Pale (Green) Horse of the 4th Seal of Chapter 6 of Revelation. This is spread of Islam all over the globe. The present unrest in the Middle East is another notch in the development of Islamic Fundamentalism stoked by the nuclear pot of Iran.

Iran's Nuclear Ambition

This is the scenario towards which mad, monster nations like North Korea and Iran are desiring the world to endure.

North Korea is headed by a crazed despot, the Asian equivalent of Colonel Gadafi. Leaders like them, like Hitler, Mao, Stalin and others, are prefigures of the coming World Dictator who will broker a peace treaty between Israel and the the Arab world.

Iran will stop at nothing to secure leadership of the Islamic nations (overcoming the Sunnis). It is the wild card stirring the nuclear pot and spouting incendiary rhetoric.

The only peace you can have is from the Prince of Peace, the Messiah Jesus.

The Second Coming of the Iranian Mahdi

IRAN is at the heart of the Islamic Revolution, seeking to dominate the Sunnis and then leading Shiite Islam to take over the whole world. Their eschatological belief in the soon coming of the Mahdi, their Shiite version of the Messiah, is stoking the fires of their Shiite Revolution. They succeeded in disposing of the Shah in 1979, fought a long war against Iraq, and now with Russia's help is building its nuclear arsenal with a view of destroying Israel and the Western world.

Joel Rosenberg and the Christian Broadcasting Network have broken the news of the new Iranian movie/dvd of the Second Coming of the Mahdi. Their theological belief is driving their political revolution.

Uphold Yang Berhormats who stand for Righteousness

Malaysians have a duty to support all politicians who stand for righteousness, racial equality, religious freedom as enshrined in the original Constitution. One such politician is YB Hannah Yeoh, who is a Christian and a member of the DAP. It should encourage Christians to see a new generation of younger citizens who have taken up the challenge to act for justice in our faltering nation after 50 years of wandering about in the wilderness. Hannah is a young ex-lawyer. In answering the criticism that she is without much political experience, she has brilliantly countered with the retort that she is very inexperienced in the practice of bribery and corruption. Well said.

These are the nations surrounding the tiny nation of Israel and like Ahmadinejad they all want to wipe Israel off the map. Why this devilish desire to destroy the Jews? After all, they and the Jews share the same progenitor, Abraham.

The answer cannot be mere politics; it is assuredly not economics (obviously, these oil-rich Arabs); it is not humanitarian or anti-humanitarian: it is devilishly spiritual. Numerous attempts in all history have been made to demolish the Jews once for all - Haman nearly succeeded in the story of Esther; the monster Hitler tried using the Holocaust; others like Henry Ford have stoked the fires of hatred and so have Jimmy Carter (with no understanding of Scripture) and Anglicans like Stephen Sizer (the bigoted priest). These all will get their deserts from the God of Israel. So will Jew-haters like the Iranians under the Shiite Khameini and his mouthpiece Ahmadinejad. They all will be blown away like stubble of their deserts.

Post-Tribulational Second Coming of Christ

Many are confused about the timing of the Great Tribulation. You are right to be Post-Tribulational as long as you are talking about the Second Coming; the Rapture is Pre-Tribulational.
